Connecting Renters and Hosts Across the Caribbean
Connecting Renters and Hosts Across the Caribbean
As a host, you commit to ensuring your vehicle is safe, insured, roadworthy, and legally compliant for approved guests.
Any vehicle you list on the Platform must be exclusively listed on the Platform. You cannot list any vehicles you intend to share on the Platform on any other car sharing marketplace. Failure to abide by this condition may result in fines, penalties, denial of physical damage claims, removal of the vehicle from the Services, account closure, or other action, in CCC’s sole discretion.
Once a trip is booked, you must make the vehicle available or deliver the vehicle as expected by the guest. If you offer the guest the option to pick up your vehicle at a persistent specified location, you must supply the location of the vehicle accurately to CCC and ensure that the vehicle is available at that location at the beginning of the reservation period. In order to qualify for any available protection from CCC, you must verify that a prospective guest has a current, valid driver’s license before you provide the guest your vehicle, and ensure the driver’s license matches the name on the reservation and that the person picking up the vehicle appears to match the photograph on a facially valid driver’s license.
Pricing and Earnings
As a host, you have the flexibility to set and update your vehicle’s pricing as needed. CCC will transfer the amount collected from guests, minus applicable fees. Should you owe any amounts to CCC or third-party lenders, CCC reserves the right to deduct these payments from your earnings, charge your payment methods, or send you an invoice.
Maintenance and Vehicle Condition
To ensure the safety and satisfaction of guests, you are responsible for regularly inspecting your vehicle for any operational or safety defects. Your vehicle must always be in roadworthy condition, fully compliant with all required inspections and registrations, and free from any safety recalls. You are required to list only vehicles with a clean title, and CCC reserves the right to remove or decline your vehicle listing if it does not meet these standards. While CCC may assist in ensuring vehicle safety, this is not a guaranteed service, and it remains your responsibility to maintain the vehicle’s condition.
Co-hosting tools help hosts organize Co-hosts into teams to manage vehicles. Co-hosts can be friends, family, employees, or CCC hosts providing support and assistance on the host’s behalf.
By adding a Co-host to a hosting team, you represent and warrant that each such Co-host is authorized by you to act on your behalf and bind you, consistent with the level of permission granted in the co-hosting tools.
You are responsible for the permissions you set for each co-host and the authority you grant them to use the co-hosting tools for a vehicle listing. Ensure that all Co-hosts understand their responsibilities and the extent of their permissions to avoid any potential conflicts.
Hosts may remove any Co-host from a hosting team at any time. Co-hosts may remove themselves from a hosting team at any time. CCC may remove any Co-host from a host team or terminate access to the Co-hosting Platform if you fail to deliver to CCC, on request, up-to-date mandatory documentation relating to your relationship with Co-hosts, including social security or tax declarations.
Upon removal of a Co-host, you remain responsible for all actions performed by the Co-host prior to removal.
You are responsible for your own acts or failures to act. To the maximum extent possible under applicable law, you are responsible for the acts and failures of your Co-hosts when acting as service providers to you. You are responsible for complying with laws, rules, and regulations that apply to the Co-hosting services. These may require you to obtain a permit or license before providing Platform or may classify a Co-host as an employee of a host. In no cases, are hosts or Co-hosts employees of CCC. You represent and warrant that you and those who work with you have all necessary permits, licenses, and/or insurance required.
Any agreement between a host and Co-host does not create an employment, agency, or other service relationship between CCC and any host or Co-host. A host and Co-host cannot create an agreement that conflicts with the Agreement, expands CCC’s obligations, or restricts CCC’s rights under the Agreement. CCC has no control over your conduct and is not obligated to mediate disputes between hosts and Co-hosts or among Co-hosts. Any liability arising from or related to any agreement between hosts and Co-hosts is disclaimed by CCC to the maximum extent permitted by law.
If you believe that a guest has caused any damage to your vehicle, you must report it as soon as you become aware of it—no later than 24 hours after the scheduled end of the trip. To ensure eligibility for coverage, you are required to cooperate with the investigation process. CCC or third-party claims administrators will assess whether the damage occurred during the reservation period and qualifies for coverage.
Failure to provide prompt notice or reasonable cooperation may result in CCC being unable to determine the cause. In such cases, reimbursement or coverage may be declined.
Hosts are responsible for providing their own motor vehicle insurance. Security deposits or credit card holds will also be implemented, to cover minor damages in the event that they occur.
Hosts must maintain valid vehicle registration and proof of insurance for any vehicle listed on the Platform. The insurance must meet minimum legal requirements, and additional coverage may be necessary for leased or financed vehicles.
Hosts agree to provide CCC with updated insurance details when requested. Where permitted by law, CCC may act on the host’s behalf for filing insurance claims, handling payments, or working with law enforcement and other entities for vehicle recovery.
In the event of any claim for a loss or injury that occurs during the use of your vehicle by a guest (or by CCC itself), subject to your compliance with these Terms and the Policies, CCC or its insurers will assist to defend and indemnify you.
However, this protection is subject to any exclusions or limitations in the policy or policies of insurance against such claims as required by applicable law. CCC will work closely with legal authorities and insurers to ensure proper handling of such claims.
If your vehicle goes missing, is not returned, and/or is stolen during the reservation period (or extension period), you, as the host, must immediately contact a CCC representative and follow his or her instructions, including cooperating with CCC, the police, and any other authorities in all related to the investigation of the theft.
If you are instructed by CCC to file a police report, you must do so within 24 hours of receiving those instructions.
With CCC, your vehicle is safeguarded by top-tier protection. Experience the security and peace of mind that comes with listing your vehicle with us. Let’s get started!
